3 factories inaugurated in Herat industrial park

Three factories worth about USD 2mn were officially inaugurated in Herat’s industrial park on Tuesday by Governor Mohammad Asif Rahimi.

Funded by the private sector and Herat’s businessmen, the factories include two marble processing factories and one carton production factory.

In addition to providing job opportunities to about 600 Afghans, the factories also ease the process of exporting marbles from Herat to Europe and America.

It is worthwhile to mention that the cartons are produced using recycled papers. This will leave a positive impact on the protection of environment.
