51 welfare projects implemented in Badghis

Fifty-one welfare projects have been successfully completed in Muqur, Qala-e-Naw and Qadis districts of Badghis province.

Costing 3,761,465 AFN, these projects are implemented by the National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP).

According to the provincial manager of NSP in Badghis province, these development projects included the construction of water reservoirs, irrigation canals, gabion walls, culverts and gravelling rural roads. Approximately 3,254 families benefited from these development projects.

Since its inception, the NSP has disbursed 1,355,975,540 AFN for implementation of 1,500 development projects in various sectors such as transport, water and sanitation, irrigation, power, livelihoods, education, etc.

Thousands of residents of Badghis province have benefited from these projects so far.
