8 welfare projects completed in Sar-e-Pul Province

Eight development projects were completed in Sancharak district of Sar-e-Pul province by the National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (NSP/MRRD).

The projects were implemented at a cost of 14,332,378 AFN, with 10% contribution from the local community.

According to the Sar-e-pul NSP provincial manager, these development projects included the construction of three school buildings (two of which have 6 classrooms and the third one has three classrooms), an 8m by 4.5m bridge, a water dam in a length of 11 meters and nine culverts.

Over 1,500 families benefited from these development projects.

Since its inception in Sar-e-pul province, NSP has completed 1,806 projects covering different sectors.

According to NSP officials, work on around 500 projects is in progress.
