A 21 km road to be graveled in Samangan province

samangan roadA 21-km road, connecting Khuram Sarbaagh district with Do Aab district of Samangan, is being graveled by the Ministry of Public Works.

Head of Public Works in Samangan, Eng. Zia Humayun, said the 6m wide road would help resolve the transportation issues of the residents in the two districts.

The road-graveling project and the construction of an embankment and culverts on the road are going to be executed at a cost of USD 476,000 with financial collaboration from Sweden.

District chief of Khuram Sarbaagh, Hafizullah Muradi, said the project would help generate job opportunities to the residents and would reduce the travel time between the two districts from 2 hours to 30 minutes.
