Afghan Counter Narcotics Ministry funds construction of a modern school in a village
Built in Kaltah Shaakh village, the school costs 19 million AFN and is funded by the Ministry of Counter Narcotics.
“The two-story building consists of 16 classrooms, 3 administrative offices and many other facilities,” said Head of Education in the district, Mohammad Daud, at the inaugural ceremony.
According to District Governor Mohebullah, this is the first modern school building in all districts of the province.
In a separate occasion, work on the asphalting and graveling of 3 main roads in Khanqah district of Jawzjan has officially begun.
The uplift projects, costing USD 1mn, are funded by the Swedish government and the Afghan Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development.
