Afghan honey producers urge the government to find international market

Afghan honey producers have witnessed a tremendous increase in their honey production both in terms of quantity and quality.

According to Pajhwok Afghan News (PAN), the producers claim to produce over 15 tons of quality honey annually, compared to only dozens of kilograms of honey production in the past years.

Afghanistan honey is mainly produced in Maidan Wardak, Panjab, Wers and Yakawlang districts of Bamyan and other districts in Ghor, Herat and Daikundi provinces from where they are exported to Kabul, Kandahar and Balkh provinces.

After the noticeable boost in honey production, producers have urged the government to find international markets for their products.

Afghan honey producers boast to produce an undisputable quality honey that will soon have a high demand outside the country.
