Afghanistan and Iran discuss expansion of mutual cooperation

Iran-AfgThe Afghan Finance Minister Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal met with his Iranian counterpart Ali Tayeeb Nia to confer on expanding economic and trade ties between the two nations.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the World Bank’s spring annual meeting, where Zakhilwal signed agreements on 4 key development projects with the World Bank.

The Iranian Minister called on Zakhilwal to pursue implementation of the bilateral agreements already endorsed by Tehran and Kabul.

For his part, Minister Zakhilwal thanked Iran for their support  in reconstruction of Afghanistan.

“I hope that opportunities will grow for more joint ventures and mutual cooperation between the two countries,” said Zakhilwal.
