Afghanistan, Iran to sign economic, security agreement

The agreement on economic and security cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran will be drafted within a month.

This announcement was made by Afghan Presidential Advisor on national security, Mohammad Hanif Atmar, during his meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Afghanistan, Mohammad Reza Bahrami, on Sunday.

Atmar said that working committees have drafted the security and economic agreement between, and added that it would be presented to the high ranking
officials of the two countries within a month.

Ambassador Bahrami said that working committees of would also share Tehran’s suggestions and viewpoints to include in the accord.

It is expected that a high ranking delegation of Afghanistan would visit Iran on November 20 to discuss the proposed agreement in details with the Iranian side.
