Afghanistan, Qatar ink education cooperation accord

Afghanistan and Qatar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the area of education on Wednesday.

As per the MoU, the two countries will exchange expertise, experiences and visits, as well as the best practices in the education sector.

The MoU was signed at a meeting in Qatar between Afghan Education Minister Dr. Assad Hanif Balkhi and his Qatari counterpart Dr. Mohammad Abdul Wahed.

Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Doha Dr. Muhammad Qasim Himmat and officials from Qatar’s Supreme Education Council also attended the meeting.

They discussed issues of common concern, especially prospects for enhancing cooperation in development projects between the two countries.
