Agriculture Ministry to provide employment opportunities to Faryab peace joiners

minister asif rahimiA series of development projects including horticulture and water supply projects would be implemented in Faryab province, said Ministry of Agriculture officials.

In addition to helping area residents with proper agriculture facilities, the projects are also aimed at providing job opportunities to former insurgents who have joined the peace process.

According to provincial officials, so far more than 260 insurgents have joined the peace process in the province.

Agriculture Minister Mohammad Asif Rahimi said that 86 model orchards have been set up in the province so far. Considering their results, more orchards would also be established, he added.
