Angelina Jolie Opens All-Girls School in Afghanistan

epccHollywood superstar and the UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, Angelina Jolie, has funded a girls-only primary schools in an area just outside of Kabul, a region that traditionally favors boys’ education over grils’.

Jolie had funded a girls school in eastern Afghanistan that opened in 2010.

She vowed to fund more schools around the world from the proceeds of a jewelry line going on sale this week that she helped to design.

“Beyond enjoying the artistic satisfaction of designing these jewels, we are inspired by knowing our work is also serving the mutual goal of providing for children in need,” Jolie told E! News exclusively.

According to sources,  100% of the profit from the sales will go to Jolie’s new foundation, The Education Partnership for Children of Conflict (EPCC).
