Boost in Nangarhar Revenue

Officials from the customs department in Nangarhar province have reported that Nangarhar experiences a 20% increase in the state revenue from last year.

The increase in revenue is linked to the decline in corruption in the government offices and also prevention of illegal export of goods to Pakistan.

The effort is going on to combat corruption. The officials said cases of those involved in corruption in the past have been opened for investigation.

The traders are still faced with transit issues at the Karachi port in Pakistan. If the problem is resolved, Nangarhar’s revenue is expected to further boost up.
