Clinic for drug addicts in Herat prison

Herat prisonersAccording to the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP), a clinic for drug addicts was officially inaugurated at the Herat central prison on Tuesday.

The two-room clinic was established by the Herat prison officials in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

General Shah Mir Amirpoor, the western zone prisons in-charge, said the clinic is a unique facility of its kind in the country  being established in a prison.
