Completion of 13 horticultural storehouses in six provinces of Afghanistan

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAIL) reported that the construction of 13 storehouses for horticultural products have been completed in six provinces.

The storehouses are constructed at a total cost of USD 3mn funded from the Ministry’s budget.

According to a statement from the Ministry, three had been constructed in Kandahar, three in Herat, one in Kabul, one in Balkh, two in Kunduz and 2 in Nangarhar.

The statement adds that the facility in the Mir Bacha Kot district of central Kabul province would be soon inaugurated by Agriculture Minister Asadullah Zamir.

The Ministry has till date constructed 50 storage facilities in different provinces.
