Demand increases for local made Air Conditioner in Helmand Province

Esmatullah Erfan,  local labor in Helmand province, manufactured a air conditioner using primary level materials and has attracted many customers in Southern provinces.

The air conditioner  is made with a few meters of Iron, special wood, a fan of a fast car and a primary water pump.

Mr. Erfan said that the air conditioner is easily run with the local electricity, which is not as strong. Furthermore, the machine can also operate with chargeable batteries and generators. “This cooler can easily change the weather of a room with the capacity of 6 people and it can be used by battery and generator” said Mr. Erfan.

Most areas of the province still lack power. The local air conditioner can help them survive the hot weather by operating it with batteries and generators.

The air conditioner costs only Afs 2,000, which is easily affordable.

So far, no government or nongovernment organs have supported Mr. Erfan. The production of the air conditioner is expanded to other Southern provinces, mainly Nemruz, Farah and Kandahar.
