Ghazni airport project to be implemented in a year

ghazniWork on the construction of Ghazni airport officially begun on Tuesday and is expected to be completed in a year.

Deputy Governor Mohammad Ali Ahmadi said the wall and two runways of the airport would be built at a cost of USD 3.5mn and added work on the terminal would be launched later.

Provincial head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) Abdul Mateen Qalandari said the airport would provide aerial travel facility to thousands of Afghans and would boost the economy of the people.

The construction of the airport was delayed due to lack attention from the concerned officials, said Mr. Qalandari.
