Ghazni collects 25% higher revenue compared to last year’s
The revenue department of southern Ghazni province has recorded a total revenue amount of 391mn AFN, which is 25% higher than last year’s returns.
The revenue department head, Fida Mohammad Aziz, said last year Ghazni had collected 266mn AFN in revenue.
According to Aziz, the province has surpassed the 343mn AFN target set by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) for the outgoing year.
Aziz added that the revenue would be spent on development projects in the province .
Meanwhile, Governor Mohammad Aman Hamim said companies who had evaded taxes over the past decade had been registered now and they paid taxes regulalry.
He also assured that a commission had been formed to monitor corruption and irregularities in tax collection process.
