biscuitsThe first of its kind in Afghanistan, a local factory established in eastern Nangarhar province produces energy biscuits to victims of violence, natural disasters and Internally Displaced People.

The factory produces the biscuits for the UN World Food Program (WFP) which then distributes them to children across the country at free of costs.

Produced under the observation of WFP, the biscuits contain 16 types of energy ingredients.

These biscuits used to be imported from India previously.

Having over 30 employees, the factory is looking to expand and export products to other countries in the future.
