Infrastructure projects to launch soon in Baghlan

Baghlan infra projectsTwo major infrastructure projects including establishment of two transmission lines and asphalting of Doshi-Sheebar road will be launched soon in Pul-e-Khumri, capital city of Baghlan province.

Funded by the German government, the two transmission lines are estimated to cost USD 55mn.

The 180-km Doshi-Sheebar road will be asphalted with financial collaboration from the World Bank.

According to Baghlan Governor Sultan Mohammad Ibadi, the projects are scheduled to be launched in December of this year.

The Governor added that the road would be a good alternative to the Salang Highway once asphalted.

The project would generate employment opportunities to thousands of Afghans, said Governor Ibadi.
