Kabul hosts Afghan-Pak trade exhibition

exhibitionA 3-day exhibition showcasing industrial products from Afghanistan and Pakistan is being held in Intercontinental Hotel of Kabul City from 28-30 November.

Afghan traders have put on display items such as dried fruits, carpets and precious stones, while the Pakistani side is showcasing food items, construction materials, fresh fruits and dried fruits.

The exhibition is aimed at strengthening trade relations between the two neighboring countries.

Addressing a press conference, Deputy Chief of the Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI), Khan Jan Alokozay, said about 70% of transit issues  between Afghanistan and Pakistan had been resolved.

Transit issues have remained to be a major concern for the land-locked country of Afghanistan. Economic ties are hit hard when political tensions arise with neighboring countries.
