Kabul Municipality inaugurates recreational park

Kabul MunicipalityA recreational park was inaugurated on Monday in Rahman Mina area of Kabul city.

According to Pajhwok Afghan News (PAN), the park is constructed over one acre of land at a cost of USD 95,000.

The facility consists of football and volleyball stadiums.

Municipality spokesperson Abdul Qadir Arzu told PAN that work on nine more recreational park and a female bazaar was under way.

This comes as a number of Kabul residents had complained to the government about the absence of recreational park for families.

According to some residents, there are only a limited number of public park which are usually occupied by stray boys or drug addicts, who make it difficult for women to have some privacy and to enjoy their time.
