Kandahar collects 900 million AFN in revenue this year

KandaharKandahar revenue department has collected over 900 million AFN in revenue from local businesses and shopkeepers this year, compared to last year’s 836 million AFN.

The province was unable to generate sufficient revenue in the past due to absence of a proper custom office.

A custom office had recently opened in Kandahar city to facilitate tax collection process.

Kandahar revenue department head, Haji Azizullah Jalazai, told Pajhwok Afghan News (PAN) that construction work on new building for revenue department had been expedited in an attempt to accelerate tax collection campaign.
