Major highway in Paktika being rebuilt

in Afghan Business

sharanThe Orgun-Barmal highway in Sharana, Paktika would be reconstructed with financial collaboration from the Asian Development Bank and the Ministry of Public Works.

The road was built two years ago but deteriorated due to use of substandard material.

Provincial Public Works Director Eng. Hafizullah Zazai vowed to oversee the road’s reconstruction and not to compromise with the quality of the work.

He added the contract would be awarded to one of the three construction companies that have qualified to participate in the bidding process.
