Mass wedding of 52 young Afghan couples held in Mazar-e-Sharif

mass weddingMazar-e-Sharif MP Ahmad Shah Ramazan organized a mass wedding of 52 young Afghan couples at a cost of USD 40,000.

The ceremony was organized to help those who could not get married due to financial constraints.

The couples also received a television set, a carpet, a blanket, a gas cylinder and several other important household items.

Several mass wedding ceremonies have taken place in Balkh province lately.

Most of the couples that are married in mass ceremonies include religious school students, university goers and manual laborers.
