Over 10 million fruit-bearing saplings, mostly apricot and apples, would be planted under the Green Evolution Program of the Governor’s office in Bamyan province.
The saplings would be planted in Shibar, Bamyan city and five other districts of the province under the program.
The program is aimed at improving greenery in the areas and preventing soil erosion and at the same time boosting local economy.
The residents have warmly welcomed the program and pledged to take care of the saplings.
