MoU Signed between U.S. Embassy Kabul and Ministry of Higher Education

Ministry of EducationHilary Olsin-Windecker, Minister Counselor for Public Affairs at U.S. Embassy Kabul, and Mohammad Osman Babury, Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Academic Affairs in Afghanistan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on October 26, 2014.

The signing of the document indicates the U.S. Government’s commitment to the people of Afghanistan to hand over a state of the art Media Operations Center for use by professors and students of Kabul University.  It also underscores the commitment of the Government of Afghanistan to ensure the future operations and sustainability of this Center.

At the signing ceremony, U.S. diplomats and representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education discussed university partnerships, scholarship programs, and other forms of mutually beneficial programs.
