New tuberculosis treatment center to open in Kandahar city

TB centerConstruction of a new tuberculosis treatment center has begun in Kandahar City.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is financing the projected two month project.

Dr. Abdul Qayoum Pokhlah, the director of Kandahar Directorate of Public Health, said the center’s modern laboratory will help diagnose and treat diseases in the entire region.
