Pakistani investors to avail from free economic zones in northern Afghanistan
Afghanistan’s ambassador to Pakistan, Janan Musazai, met with business community in Pakistan and invited them to invest in Afghanistan.
He informed that the Afghan government plans to establish three free economic zones in north of Afghanistan for Pakistani investors to avail the facilities.
He added that visas to business community and Pakistan workers would be made multiple.
Musazai expressed concerns over export of counterfeit drugs and collection of illegal taxes at customs in Peshawar and other routes.
Meanwhile, President of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KPCCI) Fawad Ishaq expressed interest in elevating trade volume between Pakistan and Afghanistan from USd 5bn to USd 10bn.
He called on the concerned organizations to take necessary steps for this purpose and assured that KPCCI would resolve the customs issues.
