Projects worth over 26mn AFN completed in Ghor province

With a cost of 26,880,000 AFN, 20 projects of the National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) were recently completed in Dolatyar, Dolina, Saghar and Tolak districts of Ghor province.

According to the Provincial Manager of NSP in Ghor province, these development projects include the construction of retaining walls, irrigation canals, irrigation water reservoirs, embankments, micro-hydro power stations, community centers, culverts, gravelling rural roads, extension of a water supply network and excavation of wells.

The completion of the projects has benefited 2,688 families in various communities.

Since its inception in Ghor province, NSP has disbursed 2,166,691,525 AFN for implementation of 2,926 infrastructure projects in a number of sectors including transport, water and sanitation, irrigation, power, livelihoods, education, etc.

Thousands of residents of Ghor province have benefited from these projects so far.
