Afghanistan and Sri Lanka have agreed to intensify cooperation and strengthen bilateral ties through the Joint Commission.
The Afghanistan-Sri Lanka Joint Commission was established under the 2012 agreement on Economic, Educational, Scientific and Technological Cooperation at Foreign Affairs Ministerial Level.
During the bilateral discussion held between the representatives of the two nations on Friday, the two sides agreed to consider enhancing Sri Lanka’s involvement in Afghan economy by widening opportunities in IT, infrastructure and construction , architectural and engineering services.
Both sides have agreed for the Joint Commission to convene in the third quarter of 2014.
