Welfare projects executed in districts of Kandahar

With a cost of 16 million AFN, 15 projects of the National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development were recently completed in Maruf, Shawalikot, Panjwayee, Arghistan and Shorabak districts of Kandahar province and handed over to the people.

According to the provincial manager of NSP in Kandahar province, these development projects included construction of canals, wells, embankments, and water reservoirs, graveling of roads.

One thousand eight hundred and eighty eight families have benefited from these development projects.

Since its inception, the NSP has expended 1,062,506,454 AFN for implementation of 1,370 development projects in various sectors such as education, irrigation, livelihood, power, rural development, transport & water supply & sanitation. Thousands of residents of Kandahar province have benefited from these projects so far.
