World Bank funds construction of a road in Laghman

laghman map jpgA 14-km road connecting Mehtarlam with Qarghayee district was inaugurated in eastern Laghman province.

Funded by the World Bank, the road was built at a cost of about USD 2 million.

The road consists of 69 bridges and 643 meter retaining wall.

Laghman Governor spokesperson Sarhadi Zwak hoped the road would solve the transportation problems of the residents.
