An Afghan firm, led by a group of youths, in Mazar-e-Sharif has produced the country’s first ever electronic rickshaws that can cover up to 70 kilometers of distance over a period of three hours.

Mustafa Niazi, deputy head of the firm, said the rickshaws are made with personal finance resources and are equipped with modern innovative features, including reverse camera.

The vehicle can carry at least four passengers.

The firm has assembled 1000 of these environment friendly rickshaws.

The public has welcomed this innovation and are hopeful these rickshaws would help address the traffic issue.

Niazi said his firm has several other innovative plans that would be implemented with support from the government.
