Vidya Balan’s Kahaani to be filmed in 3 languages

Vidya Balan’s Kahaani is going great guns. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film will soon be remade in Tamil and Telugu, and most probably in English too.

“There are talks. If it happens, great. If it doesn’t, it didn’t happen. It’s at a very nascent stage.” Ghosh said, at the DVD release of “Kahaani”.

Endemol India, a TV production company, which is now into movie making, has purchased the remake rights for Telugu and Tamil version of “Kahaani”.

The remakes is said to roll on floors in September. Both the Tamil and Telugu versions will release in January 2013.

“I’m delighted to know that the film and the ‘Kahaani’ franchise are being handled by a reputed name in the entertainment industry like Endemol India,” Ghosh said in a statement.

“This association will help us reach out to audiences in the south. Here’s looking forward to great success,” he added.
