Afghan cricketer to play for Bangladeshi club

hameed hassanAfghanistan’s top-notch cricketer Hamid Hassan is set to move to Bangladesh to play for the Barisal Burners club at the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) after signing a contract of USD 40,000.

The right-arm fast bowler was the first Afghan to play at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

Hassan was bought by Barisal Burners for a reported amount of USD 40,000 in 2012, but the player could not play due to injuries.

Mohammad Nabi Essakhel, Shahpoor Zadran, and Samiullah Shinwari are other national cricketers who are currently playing in the BPL.
