Sri Lanka books spot in Asia Cup final after defeating Afghanistan by 129 runs

Sri LankaSri Lanka cruises to the final of cricket’s Asia Cup after sweeping a 129-run victory over Afghanistan in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Afghanistan had to chase down a total of 254 but lost its star batsman Mohammad Shahzad in the second over.

Noor Ali Zadran (21) and Asghar Stanikzai (27) built a decent relationship but not keep up for too long.

Mohammad Nabi got out at 37, and after him Afghanistan’s wickets dropped quickly from 121-6 to 124 all out.

Sri Lanka is the only one of the five nations to win all three of their matches and seal Asia Cup final berth.

Their final group game is against Bangladesh on Thursday, while Afghanistan take on India Wednesday.
