10% increase in Afghanistan’s vegetable and fruit exports

afghanistan fruitsAfghanistan Export Promotion Agency has reported a 10% increase in Afghanistan’s fruits and vegetables export during the first six months of the current fiscal year.

Sayed Azim Mustafa Hashemi, Head of the Agency, attributed the boost in exports to suitable weather, adequate rainfall and entrance of a number of African countries in Afghanistan’s list of agri-products importers.

Meanwhile, a number of sellers have complained about the lack of cold storage facilities that hinder them from getting their products to more markets.
