100bn Afghani worth of revenue collected in government’s treasury

The Finance Ministry’s treasury department has collected 99bn Afghanis in the last ten months.

Finance Minister Eklil Hakimi made these remarks on Monday’s session of the Wolesi Jirga or Lower House of the Parliament on Monday.

“The total revenue has been 99bn AFN in the past 10 months. We have predicted to collect another 20bn AFN in the remaining two months,” said Minister Hakimi.

Hakimi added that the discretionary and non-discretionary development budget consumption is now 35 percent, but by the end of the year it will be 60 percent.
