2 bridges inaugurated in Ghor

Benefiting thousands of families in the Daulatyar district of western Ghor province, two newly constructed bridges (36 and 21-meter long) over the Harirod River were inaugurated on Sunday, reports Pajhwok Afghan News.
The 36 and 21-metre long bridges cost more than 14 million afghanis, said rural rehabilitation and development director Eng. Taj Mohammad Zalal.
Abdul Hafiz, who lives north of the river, said before construction of the bridge, they had to travel dozens of kilometers towards the south to cross the river.
He said the bridges would facilitate thousands of families living on both sides of the stream to reach directly to local market with their agricultural products.
