21 development projects completed in Badghis Province
At a cost of AFN 24,742,000 funded by the National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP, 21 infrastructure projects have recently been completed in Qal-e-Naw district of Badghis province.
According to NSP Provincial Manager in Badghis province, these projects include the construction of irrigation canals, protection walls, retaining walls, community centers, culverts, irrigation canals, extension of a water supply network, graveling a rural road and excavation of wells.
With 10% contribution from the local communities, 6,646 families have benefited from these projects.
Since its inception in Badghis province, the NSP has disbursed AFN 1,615,657,132 for execution of 1,729 uplift projects in different sectors including transport, water and sanitation, irrigation, power, livelihoods, education, etc. Work on hundreds of others is currently in progress in various communities.
