2nd Exhibition of Afghan-Turk

The second exhibition of Afghan-Turk with the participation of 50 companies took place today, 03 Apr 2012, in Kabul. The exhibition was attended by Minister of Commerce and Industries, Turkey Ambassador, Minister of Economy, Head of Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industries and other prominent officials.

Several commodities, such as dry fruits, furniture and clothing items were put on display, according to Mohammad Qurban Haqjo, Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industries delegate.

Mr. Haqjo expressed his concern about the economic challenges that Afghanistan may potentially face after the withdrawal of foreign forces in 2014, and proposed that in order to overcome these challenges Afghanistan must strengthen its economic ties with other countries, in particular with Turkey.

In his view, Turkey can serve as the largest economic model for Afghanistan.

In the first Afghan-Turk exhibition, about 36 Turkish companies had participated and was warmly welcomed.
