2nd Herat International Women’s Film Festival kicks off

Herat International Women’s Film Festival, the first ever women’s film festival in the region, is being held for the second time in the ancient Citadel of Herat.
This year, the Festival has received 500 films from different parts of the world, 15 of which are produced in Afghanistan. A selection of the films will be screened during the Festival.
The aim of the Festival is to campaign against growing violence on women.
Organized by Armanshahr Foundation and Roya Film House, the Festival will be attended by illustrious filmmakers from India, Pakistan, Iran and Tajikistan.
Jurors from England, Italy, US, India and Iran will select the best short fiction film, best documentary and best documentation in this Festival.
