A 160-meter bridge to be constructed in Khost Province

tirinkot bridgeWork on the construction of a 160-meter bridge was inaugurated on Sunday in southeastern Khost province.

The bridge would help resolve problems of the residents who could not cross the river in Farm Bagh area of Khost during the flooding season.

According to a resident, they were previously unable to easily evacuate their patients to hospital due to deep water.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Governor Abdul Jabar Naeemi said the 67mn Afghani project was funded by the World Bank and would be completed in 18 months.
