A new girls’ school opens in Herat city

Herat Governor Mohammad Asif Rahimi inaugurated a newly-constructed building for Sayed Mohammad Qunad High School for girls on Monday.

Built at a total cost of one million Afghanis, the building is funded by the local communities.

Governor Rahimi appreciated the cooperation of all the people and thanked them for their contribution towards education of their girls.

Herat is one of the provinces of Afghanistan that has witnessed a tremendous increase in girls’ education over the past decade.
