Afghan government to rehabilitate pistachio forests in Badghis province

pistachio forestsThe Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has allocated 25mn AFN to rehabilitate 200 hectares of pistachio forests.

The forests would be revived in Abkamari and Qadis districts of the province.

Ministry spokesperson said the Ministry would be responsible for the irrigation and protection of the forests for three years.

The project would help promote the agriculture sector and create employment opportunities for locals.
