Afghan, Iran ink agreement in mining sector

Afghanistan and Iran have agreed to cooperate in the field of exploration and exploitation of mines in Afghanistan and its export to other countries.
An agreement to that effect was signed between Afghan Minister of Mines Petroleum Dawood Shah Saba and Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh in Kabul.
Nematzadeh visited Kabul for one day to attend the 3rd exclusive Iran’s exhibition in Kabul city.
Over 80 Iranian companies participated in the event along with a number of Afghan companies.
Minister Saba was optimistic that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with Iran would help boost investment and strengthen bilateral relations.
