Afghan Mines Minister heads off to Azerbaijan

Afghan Mines Minister Waheedullah Shahrani has headed off to Azerbaijan to meet with the Minister of Industries and Energy.
The parties will discuss possible investment opportunities in the petroleum and mines sector of Afghanistan.
Shahrani’s visit comes after a delegation from Azerbaijan visited Afghanistan recently and expressed interest in investing in the mineral riches of the country.
An agreement on cooperation in the energy sphere is planned to be signed between Azerbaijan and Afghanistan during this visit.
According to reports, investors from Azerbaijan and Afghan Group Company have invested in the oil refinery in northern Afghanistan.
