Afghan Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development funds development projects in Baghlan

The Afghan Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) implemented 63 development projects in various districts of Khost through the National Solidarity Program (NSP).

Costing 113, 881, 051 AFN, the projects were completed in Nahrin, Burka, Andarab, Khinjan, Khwaja Hijran Jilga, Tala-Wa-Barfak, Dahan-e-Ghori, and Fring districts of Baghlan province.

According to NSP Provincial Manager in Baghlan province, these development projects included construction of 10 community centers, a 10-classroom school building, 161 culverts, irrigation canals, lavatories, a school building’s surrounding walls, retaining walls, micro hydro power stations, excavation of 103 wells equipped with hand pumps and graveling rural roads.

Approximately 17,600 families in various communities have been able to gain access to basic human needs upon completion of these projects.
