Afghan Public Works Ministry funds construction of 45-km road in Herat

road asphaltingA 45-km road is being asphalted in western Herat province at an estimated cost of USD 9million.

Funded by the Public Works Ministry, the road runs between Guzra and Pashtun Zarghon districts.

The road would help resolve transportation problems of the residents in the two districts and also facilitate transportation of agriculture products to the market.

Residents have promised to keep security intact for the road project, said local officials.
