Afghan railway workers to receive technical training in Tajikistan

finance minister in tajikistanTajikistan has promised to provide technical training to 30 Afghan railway workers.

This comes as the Afghan Finance Minister, Dr. Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal, visited Tajikistan to discuss bilateral cooperation in areas of transit trade, electricity and visas to Afghans with Tajik officials.

At the meeting, Tajik finance minister Safar Ali Najmidinov assured that Afghan goods would not face any restrictions while traveling across Tajikistan. Tajik officials also promised cooperation in issuing long terms visas to Afghan traders.

The parties paid much attention to the coordination of cooperation in attraction of investments to implementation of joint regional projects, including linking power and transport networks of both sides, construction of railway Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Turkmenistan, power transmission lines and elimination of commercial barriers.
